A postgraduate student at the University of Greater Manchester was conducting a study on barriers to accessing maternal healthcare in Nigeria. The research required primary data collection from Nigerian women of reproductive age. The student initially deployed an online survey, but engagement was extremely low — most of the target population had limited internet access and digital literacy.

There was a pressing need to reach participants directly in their communities through offline, face-to-face data collection — which the student could not execute remotely from the UK.

Our team stepped in to manage the entire data collection process in Nigeria. We mobilised trained field assistants, translated survey tools where needed, and visited communities individually to collect responses ethically and efficiently. We also handled the data cleaning and analysis using SPSS, ensuring high-quality output aligned with the project objectives.

The student received a rich, representative dataset with significantly improved participation rates. The project was completed on time and with academic excellence — without the student having to travel to Nigeria. Their feedback highlighted how instrumental our support was in overcoming a major research barrier.

A student researching for their MSc in Biomedical Science sought to evaluate operational inefficiencies across multiple laboratory sites. The student needed to analyse lab processes across three sites, pinpoint inefficiencies in IQC approval, sample processing, and results transmission — and apply Lean Six Sigma interventions to improve turnaround time.

We worked with the client to map existing workflows, identify value-added (VA) and non-value-added (NVA) steps, measure wait/cycle times, and highlight bottlenecks. We applied root cause analysis and simulated Lean Six Sigma strategies to propose actionable improvements.

The client delivered a detailed, data-driven project with clearly demonstrated improvements in lab efficiency. The project received high praise for its real-world application of Lean Six Sigma and depth of analysis — demonstrating exactly the kind of impact-focused work that earns distinction-level marks.

A final-year BSc Nursing student at the University of Sunderland in London was conducting a systematic review for their dissertation. The topic focused on understanding the burden of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in West African adults — but the student needed help navigating the rigorous demands of systematic review methodology.

The student needed expert support in structuring the review, conducting literature searches across major databases, applying inclusion/exclusion criteria, critically appraising studies, and synthesising findings — all in line with university standards and systematic review protocols.

Our team supported the entire review process. We helped formulate the research question using the PICO framework, guided the database searches (PubMed, CINAHL), applied the PRISMA flowchart for article selection, and conducted critical appraisal using JBI tools. We also provided structured guidance in analysing the findings and drafting each chapter.

The student submitted a well-structured, evidence-based dissertation that demonstrated excellent academic rigour. They scored an A and expressed immense satisfaction with the outcome — describing our input as thorough, accurate, and indispensable.
